Nick's Place & Big Train Bar

Mixed-use + Bar & Cafe + Condominiums + Roof-top Bar & Pool

New Orleans, LA

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Rebuilding History in a New City

Paradym was approached by our repeat client, Albert Kattine, to design and develop a concept for resurrecting his grandfather’s historically famous bar, Nick’s Bar. The bar was destroyed by multiple hurricanes and Kattine was left with an empty lot of land.

After working with the city for nearly a year, the project encompasses the highest and best use for the land including: the historic Nick’s Bar & Pousse Café, Meeting Rooms, Residential Condominiums, and a Roof-top Bar and Pool.

Dream.

Albert came to Paradym with the dream of honoring the memory of his grandfather and rebuilding a New Orleans landmark.

Process.

Paradym's design team worked with the City of New Orleans and the Client to gain entitlements to build the mixed-use high-rise on the Tulane Ave corridor.

Execution.

Paradym worked as the Architect and the Interior Designers for the project. Extra attention was paid to each detail both inside and out to make the dream reality.
